Two classes watched the ‘Send my friend to school’ DVD. We then discussed what we had watched and how we felt all children should have the right to an Education. We also spent time thinking and talking about the 37 million child refugees around the world as part of World Refugee day 2016.
We made our back packs, adding our own personal items to each one. They were then displayed proudly in our classroom.
We tweeted some of our backpacks and asked Owen Thomson our MP to pop in and collect them. He did plan to but then unfortunately had to change his plans.
