Girls explored the SMF campaign in their Drama lessons finding creative ways of promoting the campaign using a technique called, “Mantle of The Expert” in which pupils lead in an Enterprise situation. All girls wrote speeches which were then delivered in a large Rucksack made by one of out Teaching Assistants to our Local MP Mr Liam Byrne. We held a performance on the Day of Action which our MP attended where selected students presented using speeches, presentations, mimed role-plays, verbatim Drama, monologues, duologues and interviews. The presentation was really well received and we have been asked to work further with our MP to create an advert to promote the cause to a wider audience. 300 students took part in their Drama lessons and around 35 students took part in the Day of Action with our MP.
