Whitchurch High pupils delivered over 300 medal messages to MP Jonathan Evans at his constituency office.

At Whitchurch High School, in Cardiff, students and staff have been learning more about the inequality of education provision around the world and the great desire of many children to go to school.

We have used form periods and PSE lessons to study some of the issues involved in this Millennium Development Goal and made 327 paper ‘medals’ encouraging governments to keep the promises that they made in the year 2000. These medals were delivered to Mr Jonathan Evans, MP, by pupils from years 7 to 10, who asked searching questions about the government’s role in international development.

The medals have now been forwarded to the Secretary of State for International Development where they will join the medals made in other schools across the UK.
